Default Freon 407C limit

So I'm going into a clock tower to work. There is a pair of chillers there and as I get to the door I hear the freon alarm going off up there. The chillers are still turned off for the season.

I enter the space and look at the display and it reads 29ppm. The lights and exhaust is running so I leave and close the door.
I call the "Boss" to ask what the high exposure is for an evac of the building as this space is at a positive pressure.
The reply after 10 minutes is,,. I don't know and am to busy to send someone. Just wait awhile.

Now it takes about 15 min for my phone to get online and find the MSDS.

The exposure is 1000 ppm @ 8hr weighted.

Now up I go and open the windows and check the unit out. It's a bad sensor. It's an MSA chill guard with an alarm set point of 700 ppm.
After awhile the boss a d AC guys show up, they aren't sure what's wrong so they want to wait an see if it goes off again.

This is a building I check and work in a few times a week so I know it is the first time it's gone off.

Why did I post this?
So you all will know what the exposure limit of 407C is.
Don't want anyone passing out and having Cleatis doing CPR do you? :-)

Can you get a picture of the inside of the clock? There's an awesome one in Lawrence, MA. I think it's literally the second biggest clock-tower in the world.

I've been trying to get a tour of the inside of the thing for a while.

Neither. 407C is a hydrogen flourine carbon (hydroflourocarbon) or hfc blend of three refrigerants used as a replacement for R-22, an hcfc.

I have to go back there today so I'll snap some new one and post both the old and new. The original water tank and clock mech is gone.
But I'll post it anyway.
