Default Bosch Power Tools

If anyone is looking to get Bosch Power tools I found a factory service center that sells them "open box" for very reduced prices. The 10.8 impactor is only $140.00, and an 18v four tool combo is $299.00 for a couple examples.

I've been looking into Bosch lately, they sound pretty rugged. Where can we find this service center, rk? Anyone have thoughts on how Bosch compares to Makita tools? I wonder if they ship to Canada..

Bosch tools are IMO top quality. I would personally buy them over Dewalt and Milwaukee. You'll get a different tool preference from every other person you ask though. The top brands are all good quality, if you're looking for a set just get the one that is the best value for your money.

Not that I saw posted. I have seen the place there for a long time but yesterday they had a "tool sale" sign in the parking lot. Seems they added a small sales area where a loading dock had been at teh back of the building. They have factory reconditioned, open box, Bosch and Skil power and cordless tools. Some thing looked like great buys. So I thought if any of you guys were looking for a specifc item, I'd ask. I pass the place fairly often and they said the store will be staying for now.

I own a 10.8 V driver with a lithium battery and I love it.

I came across it when working with a carpenter and the long battery life with short recharge times and light compact weight had me sold.

I'm looking to pick up an 18 or 36 volt lithium version...but if I can get a good deal on the NiCd battery versions I'd consider it.

I found a site online that has the reconditioned tools with a full one year warranty, I think an item that has been gone over by a service tech is way better than one that just came off the assembly line.

yeah but, who's to say that service tech cared at all, though the one year warranty kinda makes up for that.

My Bosch PSR 14.4 VE-2 cost me £70-£80 two years ago is made in Hungary and I can honestly say that it is one of the best purchases made for the price.
Mainly I use it for wood or as a screwdriver, it has this built in temp guage for when it starts to struggle, which is a good feature, but it doesnt like drilling into metal or concrete/stone.
Whenever I need to do that I use my big yellow beast, its not a dewalt though.
