Default Fluke Meters

Does anyone know where Fluke is making their DMM's these days? Like the 87-V for instance? Just curious!

The 87V, 179, 287/289 are made in the States, and the others are probably made in Asia somewhere.

Nice, Good to hear Fluke is Still making stuff in the USA. I'm going to retire my 26-3 and upgrade to the 87-V soon. Just bought a 337 clamp meter and I'm super happy with it! First one that got shipped to me had a cracked screen, took it up to Fluke's sales office here and they gave me a brand new meter over the counter no questions asked! That's why I use fluke!

Last week I took an Arc Flash/Electrical Saftey course and the instructor was saying that Fluke produces the safest meters on the market (specifically the T5-1000).
My boss seems to like Field Piece, which I like to refer to as a Field Piece of sh*t. I'll take a Fluke anyday.

I have had the T-5 1000 since it came out and have always had good luck with it, still going strong. I don't care for field crap either.

Their clamp meters look oddly similar to the Ideals:

My 87v states "Made in the USA" stamped on the back. One of the many reasons I use fluke.

I don't think the amp scale really goes much higher than what will fit in the jaw, does it? I have been using that meter since it came out and it is just as accurate and handy now as it was when I got it.

I wouldn't really call 100amps @ 565v a "small" motor.
