Ground Rod Attachment
I'm looking for any sources to find a rod driving attachment for a hammerdrill. Thanks.

Hiliti and bosch both make a rod driving attachment for there tool. I just stick the rod right into the hammer drill.

Make sure you get the correct shank type (Spline, Hex, SDS Max)
Here is one:
http://www.toolup.com/DEWALT/DW5847.html
Just do a search for "Ground Rod Bit" in Google, you'll find a bunch. Ebay is a good source also I got one for $30 on Ebay myself.
Also it isn't a good idea to try and drive the rod without a bit, the end can bell out and get stuck inside damaging your equipment, especially with SDS max shanks.
EDIT: You should also consider getting a digging "Spade" bit for your hammer drill, you'll never go back to a pick again.

You have got to be kidding...
If the rod fits the drill, why would you need an adapter? It's ridiculous to use an adapter to fit a ground rod the same size as an adapter. And if for some reason it doesn't fit your drill, your drill just isn't big enough to be driving ground rods.

I've heard that it can damage the seals inside the drill.

If you want to mess up the innards of your $700 hammerdrill, go ahead. I thought this same thing a few years ago, till I was driving a 1/2" rod through bad dirt, the head of the rod mushroomed and managed to get stuck in the drill 'chuck' I paid hell getting the drill off the rod. I only had to do that once to make myself go buy a rod driver.

I'm gonna give this a shot soon, that's the only hammerdrill I have.

That looks a little light-duty for driving a ground rod, although soil conditions might allow it.

I've got a ground rod driver, 1" chisel, and 1-1/2" or 1-3/4" masonry bit for a Milwaukee hammer drill I would let go for cheap if anyone needs them. My Milwaukee decided to retire a few months ago and replaced it with a Bosch rotary hammer.
