"carbide grit" is like a diamond grit hole saw "carbide tipped" has teeth

No.... carbide grit looks and feels like sandpaper.






Carbide tip means the tip of the saw teeth are made of carbide.



Yes, both use carbide to do the mechanical work, but each does so in a different manner.
