Default Kobalt Tools

Just stripped out a gear on my ratcheting box end wrench-Kobalt. Took it back to Lowes for their "hassle free" guarantee. Thought it would be an easy swap like Craftsman. Foolish me...I have to deal directly with Kobalt, Lowes Blowes me off.

Are Kobalt wrenches/sockets any good? Lowes is 5 minutes away. Sears is 25. The only Kobalt tool I own is a Torx set that turns out to be way over priced.

I have a pair of their high leverage wire dikes. They do make cutting easier. My first pair lasted about a year until they broke at the pivot point. The second pair seems to be holding up pretty good at over a year. I didn’t think to bring them back for replacement, I just tossed them, I guess I would have had to go through what you are dealing with.

Craftsman swaps out their tools on the spot. You have to call customer support to replace Kobalt ( I guess...haven't gone that far)
