Millwaukee 2 piece kit

Picked this up today for 178.00 bucks and a 14.4v dewalt drill. Anyone use the hackzall before? I ran some 1/2 emt today and it worked well. No jumping around when starting a cut.

Is that the 18v w/hammer drill and the xc batteries?
If so, I have the same kit and paid $300.00.

He said he picked this kit up along with a 14.4v Dewalt. I don't think Milwaukee even makes a 14.4.
Either way, he got a great deal. I have both the m18 and m12 hackzall's and like them both a lot.

Why ? I picked up this kit at HD for $249 and it came with XC batteries.

Originally it was $299. I saw it even cheaper ($199) a month or so later. HD always brings in these "Special Buys", then clears them out for dirt cheap when they don't sell. You just have to keep your eyes out.

I have never used one of these myself, but I was on a job with another contractor recently and their boss had bought one of these hacksaws for them. They were using them on 1/2 and 3/4 thinwall. Very fast and I noticed they seem to leave less of a burr that a manual hacksaw does.

I've had that set for about a month now. Got some HD gift cards for Christmas and used them on it. It replaced my Makita hammerdrill/saw set where the drill crapped out. I must say I'm impressed by the saw more than anything. The unique design allows your hand to be closer to the object being cut. I have cut 1/2" and 3/4" EMT, 1" through 4" PVC, unistrut, 2x4 wood and metal studs, and rebar. It is IMO better than the traditional recip saw. I also like the new batteries with the power gauge on them. The only drawback so far is that the batteries take longer to charge than my old Makita set.

What makita set did you have? I have 18v lxt blue ones and the 452 drill crapped out after about 4 months. I also have the 454 drill it works awesome but none of the tools work very good below 30 F. I bought the milwaukee set mainly for the saw.
