Default Specialty screw tips

Anyone have a good source for specialty/security screw gun tips?

I ran into some clutch drive screws the other day, and didn't have a tip for it.

Suppliers such as Fastenal sell a "security bit kit". I got mine at Hagemeyer years ago (when they were still Tristate) and use it rarely. I think you pay about 75 bucks for the kit of everything. The "snake eyes" is a pretty common one for electrical stuff, particularly elevators.

I have a set like that.... and it doesn't include the clutch drive.

A #1 square drive works in a pinch though.

I would like the proper tool for the job though.

Bummer. The clutch drive is the one that looks like the little bow tie, right? I'm not sure I know what most of them are called. I just know what they look like.

On contractortalk.com, many of the deck builders get their tips and screws from www.mcfeeleys.com. They seem to have a good many clutch drive tips for about a buck.

Yeah.

I'm hoping someone has a place they know that carries specialty and oddball tips. It would be handy to know.

The clutch drive tips I have been able to locate are from mobile home suppliers, and look like junk.

I've never found the triangle tip to take apart McDonald's Happy Meal toys. Not that I'd ever need to take apart a McDonald's toy, but it just ticks me off on principle that I don't have that tip.

I see that Harbor Freight has a 100 piece security bit set for $4.99. For all the more these things get used by most people, it would probably be okay.

I've got 3 seperate kits of security bits. 90% of them are duplicates between the sets. Of the rest, I can't say for sure if I have all the security bits out there.

They snap off in the fastener when used in a drill, they even snap if you twist too hard with a screwdriver handle.

We get speciality tips at McMaster Carr and they hold up just fine, I even use them in impacts and the #2 phillips are the only ones I have had snap the edges off.
