I'm happy with my gas sipper!

Seriously though, I need to get back into commercial, trying to lug around a ladder in my Golf was ridiculous. I want to show up to work and have everything provided for me.

I'm really happy with my '05 Silverado 2500 HD, Crew cab, 4x4, V8, 6 Litre. Has roughly 90,000 miles on it and hasn't had any problems.

My 1996 Cheyenne 1500 has 220,000, doesn't drip or burn a thing but unfortunately the drive train is outlasting the metal, rubber and some of the wiring.

I must point out that I believe this is due to changing the oil religiously every 3k as well as routine transmission, gear oil, and coolant flushes. I love the truck but seriously doubt it would still be here if not maintained like that, not that any car will for that matter.

For the sake of this thread I will not mention the truck that will be replacing this one when the time comes....but it rhymes with Boyota Bacoma, sorry but hey it's made here.

Sorry, but if folks don't realize the automotive industry is now a global market they are pretty naive. The country that the company is based in means less than where it is made and how many jobs they hold in what countries.
IMO a Toyota that is made mostly in the USA is more American than a Chevy that is assembled in Mexico from parts from all over the world.

Here is another mail order company that hass mostly Made in the USA items.
They have household, farms and garden, personal care and general items.

I used to own an F150 made by union members...in Canada. My dad has owned two Dodge Rams..both assembled in Mexico. So as the the faster Pete has said, the label doesn't mean anything anymore.

I can't stand cigars. They're nasty! Give me a pat on the back or a cookie instead.

Nope. I actually had to work today for my regular company for the first time in a long time. Although I was in Maryland working and got off at 3 I suppose I could've swung by there and waited a couple of hours all dirty and dusty and stuff. Actually I forgot about it and I wouldn't have wanted to go being all dirty. I'm funny like that. Real self-conscious about my personal appearance.

Baltimore DC electricians

You would have been more than welcome to attend. We had one from NC.

allamericanclothing.com is the web site. I did have to send the first pair back until I got my size right, but they have a size guideline on the site now. The carpenter pants were big!

I am not affiliated with these guys, just order from them. There are many others out there with the same type or services, competitively priced, just google american made clothing or something like that.

I am also about the local purchases when possible, some things just can't be found local, then I go to te web.
Not to burst anyone's bubble, but don't be suprised to find products touted as "made in America" which really aren't, there's just a label sewn in after the "Made in China/ Bangledesh/ India/ Packistan" label is removed.

I'd consider a Tacoma, or other midsize truck if they had an efficient diesel.

Often though, those diesels still get abysmal mileage because they want them to tow as much as possible. I'm not towing any boats or trailers so that's of little concern to me.

I had my fill of Fords, will not buy a Goverment Motors (GM) product, currently driving a Dodge, & I think my next truck will be a Toyota, while I prefer to buy made in USA products, in this day and age if it's not made in China I am pretty happy. Was in Home Depot today and was looking at wormdrive saws, and everyone was made in China, Skil model 77, & Mag 77, Milwaukee & Makita, the reason that I looked was noticed the price of the Mag 77 (about $190 ) when I had paid about $130 years ago so started looking for country of origin of them.

I will not buy another Dodge Truck...I fell asleep at the wheel and the durn truck went off the road, MAJOR design flaw in the steering I would think?
