Wow you got an extra $20 dollars

Before I went on my own my last boss gave me $1,000 for Christmas.

But what does that have to do with giving cards to your customers?

Well, as an owner,,,,,,

We give out fruit baskets along with Christmas cards to our customers, although, keep in mind that we only have about 15 "main" customers. Each one is dropped off and hand delivered to their offices. In most cases, we've found that the office staff get the most out the gifts, and if you can keep them happy,,,,,.

As for Christmas bonuses, We usually get our foreman's bonuses out in November, so for us, that is our Christmas bonus. Anything that is under $200.00, we give out in gift cards (taxes and deductions would take too much of a chunck out thier cheque), that is usually for labourers, pre-apprentices, etc.

Ahh yes, more blather from Rev. Rectum. What do you have to say about the fact that the entire story of Jesus is a complete re-hash (copy) of 2 previous people's supposed lives? It's a nice bedtime story I guess, but I prefer to go by facts.

Could you provide me with a fact since you like to go by facts? How did the universe come into existence?

I gave you facts that Jesus' story is not the first of it's kind.
As for the universe, I don't know, perhaps god or some gods created it. I never said that some sort of god doesn't exist.
Can you two bible thumpers provide facts against what I said? I think not.

To the OP's question, I send out holiday cards to be PC , not really knowing what one might celebrate if anything at all.

Shouldn't we stay away from politics and religion?

Even though the OP spelled it wrong, the title has the "religious" holiday in it which many refer to as "Christmas", thereby making it open to religious talks or negotiations.

But I think the intention was to discuss customer service ideas around the holiday season, and not to debate faith.

It was actually a pretty general question, do you send out Christmas/holiday cards to customers.

I read the entire article, and there were no "facts" anywhere!! It is only an assumption on their part that Christianity was borrowed from pagan mythology, not a fact. In fact its probably the other way around! Steelersman read this article in entirety: http://www.carm.org/questions/about-...stianity-false

It is fact that there were other stories that parrallel the story of Jesus and they were far older than Jesus' time so the point is it's just a rehash.
Show me proof that Jesus was the son of God or even that he existed. We have nothing to go by. Faith is all you can go by. I prefer facts.

If you were intellectually honest, I would check this book out: The Case for Christ: A Journalist's Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus

The gospels themselves are "proof" that Jesus existed, they are eyewitness accounts of his life, death, and ministry. What "proof" are you looking for? You could no more prove Napoleon Bonaparte existed going by your "standard"......Jesus was the promised messiah of the old testament which was MUCH older than the pagan parallels. I don't think your problem is not enough "proof".....I think its just as the Bible says: Romans 1:18 "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be know about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
