Default F250/F350 work truck questions

I am in the market for a new F250 super crew long bed. Looking at cap options. I decided no utility body.

Does anyone here have any experience with the bed caps for the F250/F350s? I am looking for comments on aluminum caps.

I had an ARE work cap and I loved it. It has 2 full rear doors in place of the tailgate, and the sides are full fold up doors that open up to side toolboxes. I love the cap, the only downfall is its tight on the inside due to having those large toolboxes on the sides. The inside is still big enough to add a few racks. I had racks built out of strut, and had plastic trays sitting in the racks. The only thing I would have changed was the ladder rack. If you had an extension ladder on top, the biggest ladder you could fit next to it safely was an 8ft step. I would have made the ladder rack wider so it could accommodate my 10ft step.

I am having a stainless steel cap made based on the ARE design.

Did you have the ARE cap on a F150 or smaller pickup?

I have one on a F250 with the addition of pullout drawers on the bottom and a few strut racks it works out really well.

Yea it was on my F-150 for a while. I really did not need a heavy truck for service work, Because next to it in my driveway was a GMC Sierra 3500 Dually with a 10ft Reading work body.

Question. Do you all think it's possible to have a scissor lift transported in the bed of a F450 or F350 with a ramp?

The scissor lift I'm talking about is a Genie 1900 series, weight about 2200#

This will not come out well.

Trailer. Lowboy. Keep that center of gravity low.

Thanks for the input. Yeah I was trying to eliminate hauling a trailer it's on right now, guess it'll stay on my trailer.
