found while looking for a job
LOCAL ELECTRICIAN needed for this project as well.
Must be local, licensed and fully insured with references. Im taking three bids for both trades and will be ready to start with in 14 days. The total square footage for the house in around 6000. If your prices are over $2.50 for the electrical don't bother bidding. Id like to try to get all bids in by Wednesday if possible.
Thanks, Greg 504-218-4222

That's funny. 6k sq/ft home at $2.50/ft? I'm sure that 6k sq/ft home will be wired to code minimum as well, huh?
Yeah, I'll jump all over that one.
I hope this jerk get's the HACK he is looking for.

yes - one fellow from houston who will remain namless wanted me to put together a trim out crew for .60 a square foot - he claimed rough in cost at between .90 and 1.10 - legitimate residential contractor that i worked for last year was selling his services for 3.00 and maybe some change - but things have slowed down tremendosly of late

For a bare bones, code minimum job the parts will cost about $1.45 so this job could easily be done for $2.50 depending on the specs...

Speedy I hope you start thinking of what you post. Nothing wrong with flipping guys work. You never know who is starving now a days. Not everyone is blessed like you. I am all for setting an industry standard, but I will never knock anyone for flipping work to others. I flip guys work all the time that I pass up and they are grateful for the lead.

Who's talking about flipping other guys work? Let's be more concerned about knuckleheads who think that just because they're working, they're making money. A nap on the couch is more valuable to me than roping a house for 2.50/ft. Let's also be more concerned about the customer setting our prices. The price is the price, is the price. I've herd enough of Nolabama's posts to know that he wasn't giving anyone this ad as a serious lead. It was posted so that we can make fun of it and steer clear. I've never really figured out a way to wire a new house for much less than 5 bucks.

no i was not posting a lead - i work for a master and i sometimes wire houses on the side (hate all you want) and i cannot wire them for less than 5 a square foot either - the lowest code minium i was able to do was 4.50 a square and that was only because we had 75' of se cable laying in the shop that came off of a transmission job that the owner sold me very cheap - i just get pissed off around here that so many GC's dictate the cost of the job by hiring clown car electricians

Hey it is people doing work this cheapo that dont finish the work or if they do it dont work or both. You can only be so efficient and do a good quality job. After that corners are being cut somewhere. Corners that should not be cut. I done work behind some of these people, after all they are why i have all the work that i do.

Around here a 200 Amp underground service in a new house can be done for less than $350. I wire houses all the time for $2.25 a foot. On top of that I charge extra for recessed cans, ceiling fans and Air Conditioning.
