Small business ownerss
If their were or even if their is a consensus out their on this topic, how many of you would say that 90% of all electrical contractors are (1) to (2) man shops? Do you think 90% is high? Could it possibly be that 80% are only (1) man shops, with the exception of an occasional hiring of a additional guy throughout the yr.
I would love to hear everyone's input.

I would say 90 wuldnt be too high. Most people get optimistic and want to start their own thing but never get past hiring more than one legit employee.

I would say between 80% and 90% are small shops here in CO. The recession has made a lot of people start their own shops to make any money, and the fierce competition has driven prices down. So, now to make it you have to be in business for yourself, but you can't price things high enough to have someone on payroll. Kind of a vicious circle.

They say 73% of statistics are made up
And 84% of statisticians truly hate their job.
