I'm a good troubleshooter, but so are a lot of industrial/service guys.
I think my specialty is being very well rounded. I can't do one thing better than anyone else, but I can do a whole lot of different things as good as anyone else.

Along with curmudgeonry I also know large retail and supermarkets.
It is not exciting but with anything the more you get into it the more you realize there is a lot too it. Beyond knowing the actual electric work. refrigeration and systems they use you need to learn to know what is and is not important to these customers.
Two key points I have learned, our sleep is not important and the ability to sell product under any circumstances is important.

There probably are just a little over 10 stores left these days.
I'm out of it now (long story).
If I ever see another hot tub it'll be too soon.

I'm pretty good at troubleshooting industrial equipment. It's been a while though.
Now, I just teach and write software. I'm very good at that - at least I think so.
I'm terrible at marketing - if I were good, I would have sold a few thousand applications by now instead of a few hundred.
