Another company moves south.. wayyy south
York Peppermint Patties USED to be made in Pennsylvania by HERSHEY.. just heard they are moving to Mexico and WE lose another 300 jobs. Who ever thought NAFTA was a good idea.. take a close look at all the factories that have moved there. I hope you have trouble sleeping tonight just like the 300 families who now have to fiqure out what to do next.

True, but on the bright side, that's 300 fewer Mexicans that have to come North looking for work...

One angry complaint is that more than three million U.S. jobs with middle-class wages have been outsourced to foreign countries since 1994.
I am trying to find out how many countries sent their jobs to the US. So far it seems we have gained nothing but the title of LOSER.

VOTE.
And Vote the Right way.
So apparently there is none to blame except ourselves.
We won't it all. some one must pay.
Look at the brite side:
It's gonna get a whole lot worse! Think Jimmy Carter sucked....?
I see 11% Interest rates coming, to pay for the 100K loss that these dopes had. Due they could not afford the 20K house they bought in the first place. But they will get to keep that dwelling.
Gotta go puke now. (Again).
Workers, tax payers....... Bend over! Here it comes Again!!!!!!!!

I heard a long time ago banks used to be your partner when you bought a house, you had money down or a vested interest, they would make money and together you formed a partnership. The banks, being expert in finances would help you figure out what you could afford. And you went from there. For a while the banks only cared about their bottom line, they screwed themselves. Both are to blame, the sub prime borrower and the bank. Keep blaming democrats if it makes you sleep good at night.

This was very true. Until uncle sam got involved.
Uncle Sam: "Well he has modest means, I think you should help him".
Bank: "But he only makes XXX a year, how could he possibly afford that? "
Uncle sam: "It is a right to own property in the USA!"
No It aint!!!!!!!! You earn it. If you can't afford it. Go with out.
As I did and alot of others have. Until you CAN afford it.
Work for it. We aint 'Scrubbing Bubbles' "we work hard so you don't have to." (boy, now I'm showing my age)
Your right is the opportunity to afford and purchase. Not to be given.

For one thing Americans don't want to pay for what something is actually worth. WHY do you think that sh*t hole of a store walmart is always busy?
Remember what things used to cost 20 years ago. How about 40 years ago.
We went from something costing $50 40 years ago, to the same item costing $100 20 years ago, now back to it costing $50 today. WHY is this???
I bought a typical standard Sawzall in 1988. Right before the SuperSawzall came out. 4.5 amp motor, 7/8 stroke. I paid around $150 for it. A year or two later the Super came out and it was around $180-$200.
NOW, twenty freakin years later, you can get a 15 amp 1-1/8 stroke monster for around $120. WHY????? And don't say technology or supply and demand. The technology on this stuff has
I for one would pay $200-$250 for such a quality item today, IF it were a quality item. But noooooo, not everyone else. Everyone else wants cheap.
Same goes for electronics, other tools, appliances, etc.
Somewhere along the line we lost sight of our European roots and mentality of buying something quality and buying it once.
We have become a Made in China throw away society. And I do not blame politicians. I blame PEOPLE. OUR people.
Folks are now used to paying cheap prices for cheap crap and we cannot go back to the right way of doing things because we closed and barred that door.

Ever notice some labels on clothing and other products these days? Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Thailand, etc... Companies are moving their manufacturing out of China and into these countries as cost rise in China, and workers are paid a fraction of what they are paid even in China. So as long as there are cheap manufacturing floors available in the world, this will continue unabated.

That's my point. I still have that Sawzall. Any my 9.6 stick battery Makita drill with the original battery. I can't say the same for very many tools I have bought in the past 10-15 years.
Tools are just one example too.
Things changed, and they changed fast.

Buy American Only!!!!!
I am making an all out attempt to buy things made here in the US and staying away from American companies that have turned their backs on the people who live here. It all adds up in the big picture and what goes around comes around http://www.buyamerican.com/

I have a Metabo rep coming by the shop to demo some tools in a couple weeks. I'm not sure that anyone makes a good power tool any more, but I'm holding out a glimmer of hope for Metabo. I'm a Milwaukee fan, but they can't suck enough the past 4 or 5 years. I already know HILTI is good, but there's no place local to buy them, and I'd prefer to deal with a local vendor.

Things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get better. We've barely started the drop, there is a wild waterfall ahead of us. Anyone else have any of the currency they've made to "save" us when the dollar collapses? The wonderful Amero!
Look at history, there has been no fiat currency that has ever lasted, we've had a couple already in the US that I am aware of.
I've got a few thousand ounces of silver that will buy all kinds of troubled mortgages when things get worse. I'm going to retire with a whole lot of land here in a few years. Look at the ratio of "real" currency(gold/silver) with a few ounces of gold in Germany less than 100 years ago one could have bought enourmous amounts of buildings and land before their economy got back on its feet.

That was a really smart thing to start saving!!! In the past 2 months, there have a bunch of "financial planners" who did the Ponzi scheme to people who were not as smart as you. THEY trusted someone else to plain THEIR future. Way to go
