Fave 80's metal song... toss-up betw. RATT "Round and round" and OZZY "Flying high Again"... or maybe "Bang your head" QRiot... "Number of the beast" Iron Maiden... yeesh this is tough. Pretty hard to top any Ozzy/Randy Rhoads jam played at high volume.

I agree, they are pretty cool guys as well. After the show I saw them at they came out and B.S.ed with the fans. I talked to Bill and Brent for a few minutes.
Their new album Crack the Sky is due out this month, can't wait.

Ummm, I don't think Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day or White Zombie were around in the 80's. Now as for Krokus and Kik Axe I don't know cause I've never heard of them.

Surprised no one has hit on this yet. Don't any of you remember this was the theme song for MTV's Headbangers Ball for a couple of years???

Metallica from the 80's was the best 80's metal band, there is no contest.
Now with that being said, here are the runners up:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUDWLp1yIWw
and of course:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYRC4...eature=related
And whilst I am at it.....who remembers these guys?
Oooo trivia time, anyone here know what current prog metal band 2 of their former members are in?
Here is a hint before you do a search:
They are named after something most of use every day.
Oh I cant hold it in don't bother searching here is a classic clip of the "other" band they formed.
