Default Buck Knife

I have a Buck Tempest assisted opening, Blade is supposed to be guaranteed for life and its supposed to be made of some pretty strong steel. I'm curious if anyone can tell me what the number on the blade means. No Not the Fu*king serial number. Its labeled the following

laser engraved BOS with a little flame insignia underneath it says 154 CM thats what I am most curious about the 154 CM.

154CM: An American made premium grade stainless steel originally developed for tough industrial applications. Known for its best all-around qualities, it offers great corrosion resistance with good toughness and edge quality.

I have a very nice pocket knife made by GERBER. The only etchings on it are my initials. I guess the better knives don't have anything on them.

I like my Spyderco Tenacious. Good knife for the money. I don't use it for GP though. Cuts rope and rides in the back pocket in case I need it for self defense.

Spyderco is an excellent knife that happens to be pretty inexpensive as well. The price is no indication of the quality.

I have an automatic Buck that could use an overhaul. Does anyone know of someone that works on automatics?

I like them too but I like to round the tip off a bit before it gets me in the forearm.
I don't find a sharp point on that type of knife to be very useful.
