Default Come and join us!

In mid October I shall be at this WW2 Enactors Festival. I will be at my stall with my vintage radios. On view and for sale. Think I will dress as a 'spiv' for this one!!!!.

Look at the link and see the pictures from last year. For old timers amongst you, you should enjoy the memories.

Find me at www.Nostalgicvintageradio.com

This is just a hobby but it's great fun. I have about 350 of these little angels of which those that are on the site are fully functioning.

That's what you call a collection.Don't know where you are but there is sure to be a Radio Club near you someplace. I was at a club in PA last year. It was called - I think - the Delaware Vintage Radio Society (sic) . Great blokes all and they looked after me a treet.

Wow, Frank, that radio site is very nice. Did you design that site? It's really classy.

Marc.

Can't take credit for the site. A very good pal of mine designed it for me. Now I have to just keep it up to date. Have to say most folks like the site and Geoff's ideas seem to have gone down well. I will tell him you like it. He will not be too swayed however 'cos he is just so modest. A really nice bloke.

Across the road from me , the son of the lady of the house is visiting. He lives in BC. He emigrated there about 30 years ago. I will try and catch him and ask which part of BC he hails from.

Excellent websites there Frank ! Love the radio site, really nice to look round.

I spend a lot of my time at a local museum called Metheringham airfield their website is

www.metheringhamairfield.org/

Recently completed a 1940's classroom there.
I have also tried to refit some of the old gymnasium wiring with VIR's (obviously these won't function but thought it would make a nice touch)
They are strung across the ceiling on porcelain insulators.

Tried the link Chris - but no function? Maybe off air?

VIR. That takes me back. Rotten after two weeks but seemed to work without leaks forever.

The full link isn't posted. You didn't add the "airfield.org" into the url.
