What do you mean by original schedule? In 1967, the US went on daylight time from the last Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October. It was that way until 1974 that they thought we had an energy crises, and implemented DST much earlier on the first Sunday in January. In 1975, it was implemented on the last Sunday in February. The following year (1976), it was changed back to the 1967 standard.

11 Years later(1987), it was changed yet again to begin on the first Sunday in April, while still ending on the last Sunday in October. That lasted 20 years until 2007.

Now we have it beginning on the second Sunday in March, and ending on the first Sunday in November.

Whether they tinker with it more in the future remains to be seen.

Other countries observe Daylight Saving Time, with their own different schedules.

I could be totally off base, but I remember either last spring or last fall there was a two week change? And it affected the PC and clock. Things normally not effected by DST. Something was altered in this or the last DST cycle.

Edit: DST was again changed in 2007. That is the change I apparently was referring too. Heres the link.
