I just went back to a BB from my Treo. I had "LectriCalc" on my Treo and it was excellent, but it is not available for BB.

I'm going to move this to the "Off Topic" section and make it a sticky for a while. Let's see what we can come up with.

I've got a Treo 800W now. LectriCalc sounds interesting I, going to look it up right now. Thanks for the heads up.

I think I paid $29 or $39 for it. I could be wrong, it was a couple of years ago.
I would definitely say it was worth that. You also get a desktop version.

The user interface is great. I SO wish they made a BB version. The owner said they don't and don't have any immediate plans for it.

I have to say, I have a friend who has an iPhone and that thing is awesome for the apps it can have. He is an electronics guy and the stuff he has on there is incredible. He has this resistor calculator that has an Ohm's Law calc build in. You just pick the color bands and two value and it tells you everything else. Then there's Clinometer and other cool apps.

I still think BB is a MUCH more professional and useful platform for business folks, but the iPhone is WAY cool! It's just more of a toy.

I have an iPhone, and I haven't downloaded any electrical specific aps yet. I use TightVNC and run the aps that I already have on the regular computer from my phone.

I have a BlackBerry Storm. I have not seen any apps or code books for it. I will see about asking a few friends about maybe vesting some time into looking at it as they are programmers.

I have seen Ohms law calculators for pocket pc/windows mobile but I think thats a waste because all you need is a calculator and 2 sets of known numbers.

I've got a Moto Q9C with Windows Mobile 6 on it. Pulled out my old Visual Basic programming book one night and wrote pretty much all the calculations that are on electrician2.com and put them on the phone. Took about 3-4 hours and have used in maybe twice in the past year.

If I can find it I'll post it the software if I'm able to or throw it on my FTP server. Not sure if it will work on anything but a Motorola Moto Q though, the phone would definitively have to have Windows Mobile 6 or above OS on it.

EDIT: Went to see if it was still and a folder on the desktop and thought for a second. It would just be easier to go to electrician2.com from the browser on the mobile phone than use that program. lol.

There's a BlackBerry App World application you can download to your BB. It has some cheap electrical programs you might find useful. I have a BB but don't have internet access, so I can't download any of these at the moment to try them out. Here are the links:

Why not DL them on your desktop and install them with device manager?

When you click on the link on the site to download the software, its sends a link to your email address that you have added to your BB. When you click on that you need to have the BB Browser installed in order to download it. I just have email, so that only puts me halfway there
