Famous Ancestors -
I'm currently in the process of doing my Family tree and stumbled across a branch that contains some well known Ancestors, anybody else got Historical Identities in the wood pile?
Here's one of my Great x21 Grandfathers -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_the_Bruce
The earliest birth date in my family tree is 1045, it was very interesting as the pieces were hard to put together taking up alot of research but as soon as I hit about 1600 it all become simple as surprisingly enough I hit a line of Scottish Nobility starting with a laird, then a lord then a king, I stayed up until 2am that night as being a history buff this was very exciting stuff for me.
The reason I'm not in a Castle right now aside from the battle of Culloden is that the line begins to dilute its Nobilty at James the 1st of Scotlands Daughter, Joan Stewart one of my Great x18 Grandmothers.

James Watt, though there is no real blood in the mix, my grandfather (actually step grandfather) was his great grand son of James Watt. My grandfather James Watt married my mothers mother. My grandmother and James drove from Ontario Canada to Las Vegas for a 24 hour divorce in 1946.

He developed the concept of horsepower[3] and the SI unit of power, the watt, was named after him.

It was a movie, loosely based on real people in history. Edward I and Wallace didn't even die at the same time.

We have a family seal from Sicily which is basically a fish above water, as my ancestors were all fishermen, circa 1400, +-
just how big a fish it is has been in dispute for 100's of years....

Its taken me over 2 years to get to where I am at today and I dont really want to think how many $ getting old newspapers and files released under the official information act. After a certain member in this particular branch I dont really have the option of doing it myself as most of it is common knowledge as taught in most high school history classes.
