I don't believe in or condone drug usage but, that being said I think they should legalize it and tax the stew out of it. Very rarely do you see someone smoking and causing the problems that a drinker causes. If it was legalized and taxed you might see some of the crime decrease. Just my opinion. Maybe I'm off base in my theory.

Making drugs illeagle has not stopped there use. It has created a Giant industry in thier importation and the interdiction of that importation.Insanity has been described as when faced with actions that do not work you insist on trying more of the same. Our drug policy is insane!!

If you think about it by legalizing they could actually help the court system by reducing the number of cases facing it. Then in turn through taxation bring in more income to the government coffers from the sale. Further to this it would create an legal industry which would pay tax on its corporate income and give people jobs, that in turn means more income tax. All around everybody wins. Well everyone but the slime who sell it now laced with everything imaginable.

Although I don't do it myself I have been a proponent on legalizing it for years up here, to me if Canada did it and the US didn't think of all the tourist dollars we would get. Purely economic.
