I really don't give a crap one way or the other, I don't live there but I do find it funny how people don't think the local voters get to make thier own choices.
If you register enough brain dead idiots to vote any candidate can win.
If your party is pro immigrant, and immigrants are given the right to vote. Who do you think they will vote for? The party who vocally denounced them. Or the party who welcomes them and gives them rights . And even goes as far as assistance with housing and food.

I also don't care about nyc. But I am generally concerned with the direction our country is heading.

The residents of NYC right,
The city is 6-1 Democratic.. I'm sure that had a lot to do with it...

I know Giuliani and Bloomberg won on the Republican ticket..

Wow.
Certain people are influenced by things other than pesky facts.
If you start this drive of dependant people off. Under the idea that if they support a certain party, the party will "support" them.
Making them more dependant on government.
Provide housing, tax credits, ebt monies, and other "transitional assistance" . For people who never become productive members of society. And these people will keep re electing the politicians who prop them up.
It works the same way with white collar theives. They support the party they can manipulate the easiest.
If you can step aside and appreciate that large mass of people vote for what benefits themselves now. Instead of voting for sweeping changes that ultimately would benefit society as a whole.

You example was of families hiding in bathtubs due to gun fire.

If that is happening they need to move.

If that means leaving NYC so be it.

If that means changing jobs so be it.

Your solution is hide in a tub and hope an unconstitutional law stops criminals from shooting b

New York City Giants football season is a precursor to democratic rule.

Yes in the 70% s somewhere

Sure they are , they chose to be uninformed by allowing the news media to be an extension of the big machine,as long as the people fall for the lies they will vote for the guy that says he's for them,as our country heads towards it's sunset the people pay less and less attention to politics and sure do not understand the same, with absolutely no knowledge of history and how we became a free country in the first place,it's becoming all too clear how the United States is slipping into the history books, just like the Roman Empire did 1700 years ago.
