I never really liked his music, but I can see that he was talented. This is comparable (but not quite) to the death of Elvis. The really sad part is, we will never hear the end of this. Anna Nicole and Heath Ledger won't stay dead, but Jackson, well, by God, they won't even bury him for 10 or 15 years .

No, no they do not, ' King of Pop' does not mean he was an artist. More like the Harbor Freight of mass music.
The man could dance, the 'music' was pop crap.
Best MJ song .......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9Zt8mn14hY
Besides, as far as I am concerned he was kiddie diddler.

Ok. Check this out. I swear this is true. I get these alerts on my phone for breaking news. Yesterday it was Mcmahon. This morning it said Farah Fawcett died. I told my buddy while we were working: "Farah Fawcett just died of cancer". He was like: "oh man that's sad, Ed Mcmahon just died yesterday, who will be the third to go"? And in my head Michael Jackson came to mind, for some reason, I instead said Bin Laden for wishful thinking. But low and behold I get an alert that Jackson was rushed to the hospital and is now dead! This is crazy! So basically I just had a premonition this morning. While it is sad, it is at the same time very cool for me to have this happen.
I liked Jackson's music from back in the 80's. Very good music. Very talented guy. It was a shame that he got all weird and stuff later on in life and became an introvert.

He wrote some of the songs, many of his songs where written for him. You can thank Quincy Jones for the total package.
I really have no issue with mass market pop, just do not try to make it out to any more than it is.

Oh I see, we can only place him on a pedestal, we can not remember that he went on national TV and talked about he he slept with young boys and could not see why that was odd.

I don't want to debate it either, but I will say that if he didn't do it, something happened. It may not have been outright molestation, but there was some weird $hit going down at Neverland.

I am pretty sure I can say that I watched the Jackson 5 on the Ed Sullivan show.
RIP Farrah.

Showed up for work and watched the sunrise as I drank my coffee, got some overtime doing a shut down with the owner before the regular day started early this morning, then went back to the nice air conditioned job I'm running. The place was crawling with hot university girls in the kinds of clothes they wear when its approaching 100f. Its pay day. Now this...
Man this day keeps getting better and better....
...and hey Bob I'm with you on that last bit
