Slipknot, system of a down and rage are good bands, but when you said "hardest of the hard and fastest of the fast" I was thinking more along the lines of;

Pantera
Slayer
Megadeth
Hatebreed
Mastodon

That's what hard,,,(only naming a few!),,,I agree,,,,Pantera, Mastadon are good. Megadeth, not so hard. I had killing is my business, business is good. But that's it. I've got Pantera in my cassette player right now. (I've had it ten years)
