Default Neil Peart = Fireworks

I was just viewing some of Neil Peart drum solo's on youtube, and thought to myself..."self, this is like fireworks"! For those of us that have had the honor to see RUSH live, you know what I'm talking about. Neil Peart's drum solo is like fireworks. He's not a drummer, he's a percussionist.

P.S. The Buddy Rich tribute at the end is classic!

Great drummer!

I saw Ginger Baker and Jon Bonham back in the day.

There was a monster named Billy Cobham that fronted a band in the mid 70's but he seems to have disappeared.

*****until the internet.

It's only a minute and its starts a little slowly but....great footwork. It took me years to figure out how they did that hand hand foot foot roll. Once you accomplish that task you could impress anybody. You could smoke a cigarette with one hand and kick ass with the other three limbs.

I always liked Phil Collins' drumming. One of the best, even though nobody remembers him for it.

Fast forward to 2:35 to see the solo. Single stroke rolls at mind bending speed. Completely ridiculous.
