PhotoBucket Alternative
Anyone know of a good alternative to PhotoBucket? I'm getting sick of all their pop-ups every time I go there.
I don't mind advertising, after all they're free. But it's getting so I spend 90% of my time there dealing with ads.

If you are looking for image hosting, tinypic.com is my favorite. It's easy and quick.
If you're looking for an online photo album type of thing, I can't help you.

Ken, try Firefox, it has a great add blocker, with Firefox I have never seen a pop-up on Photobucket.

Same here. Plus Firefox has a spell checker. Which is good to have around here.
I do not know much about photobucket as I never use it. I always search my PC for pictures I need to post. Why use photobucket anyway, when you can upload from your PC? I am asking as I know little about this. Whats the advantage?

You're limited as to how many pix you can upload onto Nathans' server here. Photobucket can hold thousands of images for you, and you can create albums for different groups of images.

I just checked Photobucket and shut off my Adblock plus. You are correct it is full of adds. Get Firefox and you will never use Explorer again.

Google's Picasa is great. I don't know if you can post through it though but as an image library it is pretty swell, free too.

Isn't Picasa image software management for your computer? I'm looking for an on-line storage facility.

yeah not sure whether you can post with it...this whole posting to online forums is still new to me. Maybe, if you run an MS system, you can change your intenet security settings so all those adds don't run. It will be something you have to set and un-set as you browze other sites; through security settings you can disable active-x, java script, .net framework, etc so that crap won't load, BUT it totatally inhibits browsing...double edged sword.

I was going to say the same. Get Firefox/Adblock plus and
you won't see the ads. Explorer is a virus spreader.
Firefox is the way to go.

Anyone notice the Netflix pop up in Firefox? It resides in the system tray until you go to close the browser. Then it pops up. Is anyone else noticing this? Its not annoying, but after all Firefox is all about zero pop ups and ads.
