Miami @ NYJ --- Jets, Team D's are getting the hang of stopping the wildcat and Miami has no QB

Atlanta @ New Orleans----- Saints, If Dallas can hang that many points on the Falcons, how many do you think the Saints can put up?

Saints, duh. We could have Billy Joe Hobert as our qb an I'd still pick us to win.

Jets/Dolphins...tough one, but I have to go with the Jets. They have an aggressive D that will attack Miami.

Miami @ NYJ --- Jets, Team D's are getting the hang of stopping the wildcat and Miami has no QB.

They sure did not stop the wildcat last time they played or the time before when we knocked them out of the playoffs. When are you going to understand the wildcat is a formation, not a gimmick. It is part of the Miami offense. Also, according to the Dolphins, they have not even scratched the surface of the wildcat plays they have ready to use. They did have a full off season to work on it, and even drafted Pat White just for this purpose. The wildcat is here to stay.
No Qb? Huh. I guess Chad Henne is chop meat. 4 year senior/starter at Michigan, one season on the bench learning from Pennington, outplayed Mark Sanchez in the first meeting? I would say Chad has a good a chance to win this as Sanchez does. Not even mentioning injuries. Jets nose gaurd (Jenkins) on IR.

Saints win at home. Both teams are dome teams so it should be a high scoring affair.

What's up JB?
The Nawlens game should be good, hopefully we will go all "no huddle" and blitz the sh*t out of Drew Brees. We didn't do the "no huddle" out in Dallas for some stupid *ss reason...can't believe that!

Here's what one Atlanta journalist predicts: LOL:

Falcons at Saints: The problem isn’t just that Matt Ryan has looked ordinary the last two weeks, or that Michael Turner has looked ordinary all season. The problem is that what the Saints do best (pass) exposes what the Falcons can’t do at all (stop the pass). The Birds will be fine — until Drew Brees gets out of his car. Saints cover 10.

Hey, if Atlanta can pull this off, great. In a game like this, I usually cheer for the underdog. Since New Orleans is unbeaten and likely favored, I will root for the birds.

Until they run it for years, I will say it is a gimmick.

If this is true, then Miami needs to get more of it run in games, may get a better record.

I would have to disagree with you, I say in 3 -4 years you will not see it run any more.

Let me rephrase, They have no PROVEN QB

It is run every Saturday in college and has been an offensive staple for years. Several NFL teams are now experimenting with it including the NYJ.

If this is true, then Miami needs to get more of it run in games, may get a better record.

They are the second best rushing team in the NFL. The best rushing team (NYJ) has played 7 games to Miami's 6. With only 129 yards separating them. So, theoretically with one less game, and Miami averaging 170 yards rushing per game, Miami would be the leader. They do need to finish games, and improve our record.

Only time will tell. But I can tell you, this is not going anywhere in Miami. This is part of their offensive game plan. This wildcat is a combination of formations designed to confuse a defense. Miami makes it work. Not every team can make it work. Not every team has a Ronnie Brown either. So I do not see it going anywhere. In fact I expect other teams to start using it with some success. Success breeds confidence in the wildcat/spread offense.

Let me rephrase, They have no PROVEN QB
True.

Who came up with that ridiculous name "Wildcat" anyway? Freaking stupid. It's the spread option, ala, Gators and others...

Thats correct. A commentator I think started it. But I am watching a college game right now and they are calling it the wildcat too. No mention of the Dolphins either. I am not sure who came up with it. Maybe the Dolphin players? Coaches?

When they named Carolina the Panthers and Jacksonville the Jaguars, I thought both of those names were stupid. Now, It's no different than the Packers.

And the City of Green Bay owns the team. Thats gotta be pretty cool owning a very small part of an NFL team. All you have to do is live there.

Ever see that commercial where someone dies in Green Bay and many people rush the stadium to try and get his season tickets. I hear you can only get them if they are willed to you by someone who dies. That season tickets are passed down from generation to generation. Thats some fan base.

Thats a cool tidbit.

A little searching found more.

Quote:
The Indian Packing Company was a company that was involved in the canned meat industry. When the company was absorbed by the Illinois-based Acme Packing Company, it had facilities in Green Bay, Wi., Providence, R.I., Greenwood, In., and Dupont, In.[1][2]

Today, the company is remembered as the namesake of the Green Bay Packers. The fledgling football team took its name after Curly Lambeau, an employee, successfully asked the company for money for jerseys and use of the company's athletic field.[3]

The city does not own the team, 112,120 shareholders do. I own one share. No one is allowed to own more than 20,000 shares to insure the team can not be moved. My father got his season tickets in 1968, my brother has them now. The waiting list for season tickets has 78,000 names on it, about 6 tickets get turned in a year.

Okay. Some of the citizens own the team.
