He had some awesome songs for sure. Sad to see any musician pass too young.

All of them play a large part in the lives they truly touch.

Really bummed me out all day. I thoroughly enjoyed his work in all the different bands he was in.

First Kurt then Layne now Chris...... Eddie is the only one left out of the big four.

As of this morning there was no cause yet...hoping for an answer that his family (and fans) can make peace with. (Like somehow natural causes is more acceptable than an overdose or suicide)

Yahoo is reporting it was a suicide..

Man I totally agree with your opinion..I'd say it is fact.

Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, the big four without a doubt.

reminds me of Robin Williams, someone that can appear to be so happy, yet suffer so badly that they take their own lives.

He hung himself. Goes to show you that no amount of money, fame , or friends will make you happy or content.

There is only one thing that can do that and that is a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Its sad that he felt like this was the most logical solution to his problems. If only he would of talked to someone. Or someone could of talked to him.

Yes, the only thing that will make someone happy or content is a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Now and forever yes, eternally yes. Everything else wastes away. Everything else is temporary.

I'm quite religious. Talk to the man most days ...

I believe he knows what each of us went through, and judges us from that.

Right I made a simple comment. This is a open forum where one posts his opinions. My opinion is just as valid as any others. You do not have to like it. I dont like a lot of stuff I see on here. I simply keep on scrolling.

His music sadly brought nothing of any good to the world and after a few generations no one will have any clue who he was.

I am sad that he spent a lifetime chasing things he thought would bring him joy. Only to find himself at the end of his life hanging himself and alowing his friedn to find his lifeless body on the floor.

Unfortunately people think they are doing others a favor by removing themselves from the world. Its sad that they dont realize they have people who love them.

But more improtantly a God who loves them. A God who created them and reconciled them through his son. This God says you are valuable and wants a relationship with you.

I am glad to hear that. You are correct only God knows our hearts.

But I know Chris Cornell was quite out spoken about his displeasure in God. I hope maybe that was not the case at the very end.

But the death of someone is always a good time to reflect on ones mortality. Because that day is coming for all of us. I have done much research and am fully confident of my final destination.

He was plagued by "punk rock guilt" as he called it. Being mainstream successful was against everything his roots stood for and he mentioned it from time to time. I think he realized all the greats went out too soon and that's how you secure your legacy. You can't be as epic as Chris Cornell and live to be a ripe old age.

What a pile of judgmental garbage. If God created him and his music, why did he waste his time?

Following your reasoning, there would be no musicians, performers, writers, poets or visual artists. They all would have have their noses in the Bible looking for a ticket to heaven.
