Default Solid Fuel Heating

My house heats with baseboard hot water heated by an oil fired boiler. Last week we had a water leak in the basement, and the 20 year old boiler crapped out. Heating oil is over $4 a gallon, and we spent @$2700 on it last year. I am pretty sure we are going back with some sort of solid fuel (wood or pellets) heating system with electric backup.

I put in an electric water heater, and will start researching the solid fuel systems now. I've got until fall to figure it out. Does any one have suggestions? What do you use?

I have been burning wood for over 20 years. I have baseboard HW and heat my domestic hot water also. I have had a Central Boiler for 4 years now and the ROI was less than 1 1/2 years. What is nice is that the wood and all the garbage that goes with burning wood is OUTSIDE.
I have a LPG hot water boiler that is backup for the wood boiler. House and shop were nice an warm all winter and I used less than 100 gals. of propane.
Here is the setup:

Thanks for the input. I'm leaning toward a Central Boiler, one of my friends has one and loves it. I'm trying to learn about pellet boilers as well.

right now i am paying 4.22 / gallon on combation heating fuel and diesel fuel [ i have service truck and diesel generator on that location as well ]
