restrictor plate has forced these guys to bunch up with no place to go. the real purpose of the restrictor plate is to slow cars down and prevent cars from flying into the stands. all about liability. bad for racing.

As a lifelong NASCAR fan, that race sucked, worse race ever.

NASCAR is not a sport. It is a redneck reunion.

what does this "restrictor plate" do anyway? I mean the cars still go 200mph.

It keeps the cars from going about 230 to 240 mph. The restrictor reduces the air that goes in the engine which inturn reduces the horespower and slows the cart down a little.

more importantly it greatly reduces throttle response and if you lift the throttle at that kind of speed and not be able to pour power back to it creates booring races - btw who won i did not watch
