I don't have a problem with someone getting a tatoo...I just won't get one. It's a form of art and art seems to be in the eye of the beholder.......each to their own.

Well heres a story your gonna say no way but its a true story .
Many years back two guys that worked for our company got drunk they took the company truck and got lost for a day or two when they returned they got the companys name tattooed on there upper arms .
No one at the main office & shop could stop laughing for a week and these two guys kinda left the company over the years for different reasons . Guess it might help when you apply for your next job and they ask you were you worked before ?
Take care

I work with a guy that got the IBEW symbol on his arm.
He was flashing it around to everyone during lunch one day and still after 3 months still catches hell.

No TATTO ZONE here too
Its not really my business weather a guy gets ink all over his body or not, but from personal experience from when I helped run my old man's company, when I worked in the office at the shop helping with big estimates, and conversations with a lot of company owners, I can safely say that the farther you take your personal choices of dress, visible cosmetic work, hair styles from the norm, the more likely your resumes will be ' filed for future reference'....
....in the paper shredder the instant you're out the door.
I've seen it happen, I've done it, and it'll be something working against you as long as you live. The farther you go from social norms, the more doors you slam shut and I say GO FOR IT! INK THAT SKIN! Just keep swinging that bell curve farther and farther into my favor
*just kidding*
*maybe*

I love the fact that the OP was asking about guys that have ink because he wants to get one and all the guys who DONT have one for some reason feel the need to tell us how much they hate them and how the body is a temple and my personal favorite is the "Tales of Regret Tattoo Stories". OOOOOO man I love it. "I can feel the anger" (in the evil overlord voice).
ANYONE WHOS GOT A TATTOO IS RETARDED
I KNEW A GUY THAT GOT A TATTOO AND HIS FACE FELL OFF
Oh man you guys are just to much ............
please keep them coming.....

It is weird, it seems that some people just totally hate tattoos. I hear people say things like "I love people with tattoos. As soon as I see one it is like a big sign advertising that person is a DUMBASS!" I totally understand that some people wouldn't want tattoos, it is a personal decision. But the amount of venom and derision that some people have just blows me away.
I have tattoos on my chest and forearm and I guess to me they are like a bull**** detector. If someone thinks less of me or gives me a hassle because of them I know that that person is someone I probably wouldn't want anything to do with anyways.

There are plenty of forum posts and discussions on this all over the internet. From what I see, at best the stuff doesn't work, at worst it will give you cancer.

It is not just your boss you have to worry about. There are all kinds of judgmental douchebags out there who will treat you different when they see you are tattooed. From the checkout lady at the grocery store to the loan officer at the bank. Some people have really strong negative opinions about people with tattoos. You have to be prepared to deal with that.
I got all my tattoos when I was 19. I am 34 years old now. My only regret is that one of the tattoos I got on my chest, a tattoo of an old medieval wood carving of a demon, is really detailed and a lot of that detail has dissapeared and blurred together over the years. I will eventually get it partially covered and reworked as a bigger piece with less fine details.

Tattoo's ARE a personal choice. I would have a few if they could be removed. PIERCING's????? My Pop would kick my *ss six ways from Sunday if he we was still alive, and I wouldn't blame him.

A was talking to a woman at a party and she said "I got a tattoo of a dolphin jumping on my hip, but since I had the twins it looks like a whale breeching."

Life is hard enough without tatoos. Why would one want to make their life any more difficult?

I've got a very small one on my leg. No big deal.
Some of the best advice I've ever received is: "Never get a tattoo from a guy who doesn't have one." It can be applied to so many aspects of life.
My buddy does have a number of tats and recalled the story of being kicked out of a bathhouse in Japan. Apparently, the only guys over there who have as many as he does are all Yakuza. (Not a generalization, simply an anecdote)

Seems like with all those piercings in your lips, it would hard to hold your slobber in.
