Oh yeah...those are all awesome! I 'inherited' all these bands from my brother(back when he was 'cool') as they were before my time. Recently I found a bag full of his old tapes so I threw on Echo and the Bunnymen. Freakin sweet.

I've been hunting "Automatic" by the Jesus and Mary Chain forever but, it's rare and I don't want to pay to ship an Argentinian vinyl pressing all the way up here. It might be cool though since the text on the cover art is all spanish. Having it on my computer is going to have be good enough for now.

Not really new wave but, I am a huge fan of U2 from that era. Just not the stuff they did after 1991...usually when I tell people this it brings out a lot of philosophical anti-Bono venom but...I just like the songs

Sounds like you and my wife could hook up. She's HUGE on Robert Smith. Ugh. I took her to a Cure concert here years ago and it was AWFUL. Me, sulking in my seat while hundreds of mostly chicks standing on their seats( the sife included) freaking out like it was some early Beatles concert from the 60's.

I dont even consider anything after Joshua tree true U2.....wait ...Zooropa was a nice album but definitely nothing after that. They can keep their 1,2,3,14
There is a great radios station here called 101.9 and they are good for at least 3 or four cure songs a day.
I lost all of my vinyl in a fire back in 1995......And I had a nice collection......I didnt have the energy or resources to start it again. There is a great record shop in NYC called Bleaker Bobs. Let me know if there is anything you fancy and I could always go in and have a look for you.... Ill find automatic for you...........

I turned off AC/DC and turned on the Mark Levin show on 77 WABC-New York.
