What are your hobbies?
What's everyone do for fun?
For years I had (still have) a '70 Nova drag car. I was going racing less and less each year. I am now trying to get back into shape to get back into motocross racing. My son is just getting into it and wants to race this year as well so that will be VERY cool.
I am also an avid fisherman and into radios (two-way and CB, not Ham {yet} or am/fm).

I am a model Railroader. I plan to have some electronics on it, which is what my degree is in, too. I also want to find and get started on a street rod pickup. the son in law is also car crazy so I will have some help there. I also fish some and enjoy going on misson trips with the kids at church. 2 yrs ago I went to a camp in Montana and did some work there. Planned carefully cause a parts run took 4 hours. Wished I had brought my truck so I had more parts but we made it. They received a "Care " package when I got back to replace all I had used. Something as simple as wirenuts and tape were greatly appreciated by them, they were bumming splitbolts from the utility guys!

I'm a model railroader as well. I enjoy all aspects of the hobby but my specialty is hand laying track. I especially enjoy doing dual guage turnouts. Bit of a challenge and it gets my mind off other things.
I've been into electronics since I've been old enough to stick things into wall receptacles - which may explain some other things as well . I put together my own computers and have built various contraptions over the years to control industrial processes before PLCs were around. I'm interested in all of it. My first computer was a VIC-20 and I still have it and 15 of its brothers in my collection.

Fishing and woodworking.
I just purchased some land with a pond on it, so I can have a place to fish when I want to. I will build a house their several years from now and fish even more.

Recreation
My fondest Hobby is bird hunting with my Brittanys Fred and Brandy.
We usually hit preserves for planted pheasants and chukars. We guided preserve hunts with these dogs 17 times last year and 16 this year. It really is the best training beyond obediance for these animals.
The Dog to "my" right in the picture is "Tanner" a wonderful english setter. He is my pastor's dog, but I took him over last summer to train him. Now he's on the team. Unreal nose.

Surfing on Oahu and Maui. Deep sea fishing. Anything with the ocean is good for me. Recently for about the last year now I have become enamoured with a software program called Filemaker. You can use it to create pretty much any app for business you can dream up, once you learn how to use it. But I'm still in the learning stage.

MacMikeman, I used to do a lot of body surfing at Sandy beach and Makapu. Body surfing at Sandy beach was really awesume. Went to HS @ Radford on Oahu. Damn that was a long time ago...lol. Sure does bring fine memories back...enjoy!
Like you Raider I enjoy riding my Ultra Classic. Just something about the feel of the wind and smells and openess on a bike. I am not talented in anything like music tho, so I just listen with my old half-deaf ears and enjoy what passes thru them...obviously not much obstruction there...lol.

I have a customized sporty that I like to ride. I put on a custom streched tank, forward controls, drag bars, and a custom paint job (Lightning bolts could you guess )
As for the guitars, I use to play lead guitar in a couple of heavy metal bands in the LA area before moving back to Utah. I still try to play as much as I can but am not currently in a band.

Hunting and fishing. Like to do some woodworking when I get the chance to. Right now in the process of putting in a bedroom in the basement for my daughter.
This is me getting some practice in before hunting season.

Man I need to get a hobby, probably keep me out of trouble.
I like gardening or anything outside in the summer, and working on my computer was real interesting until I built this one last summer, now I only open it to clean it. Seems upgrades now are too expensive for a minimal increase. I'm ready to reformat now though, WOW exciting. Took up knitting hats this winter too, got some nice hats but not a real thrill if you know what I mean.
Hey Raider, where at and what bands in LA? My brother is the best guitar player I've heard in my life. Metal is his passion, but took classical guitar until the teacher couldn't show him no more. He does Flamenco shows with a dancer from time to time for fun. He was in a semi known band in LA called 'Haunted Garage', very theatrical group and did some cool shows with them. The shows I've seen him in were with a band called 'Jumbo Size' in Long Beach, and those were some great shows, always packed, and lots of boob flashing.

I lived in the Playa Del Ray, which was about 30 minutes from the Sunset strip. I played for a band called "Nasty Passion" and a band called "blitzkreig" this was in 1989. I was friends with a couple of bands that were huge at the time "Wicked Gypsy" and "Legs Up". I hung out at the Whiskey a go-go, the Roxy, and the Rainbow room all on Sunset.
When was your brother down there?

He's always been down there in the Long Beach/San Pedro area.
I like that west LA area, Venice and Santa Monica. I partied on the strip a couple times at the Blues Club(forget the name), and a private Holloween party at the Sky Bar. I got too drunk both times.
So what company do you work for in Logan?

Ok, We're not done with pheasant hunting yet.
but FINALLY it's ice fishing season! We've got a good ole boy fishing tourney this weekend on a small lake in my area. Food, beer, and socializing. My old quad is 2 wheel drive, and with the snow we've gotten lately, I knew it wasn't going to pull my portable ice shanty .
So meet my new fishing buddy. complete with heated handle bars.

I worked for Logan Electric for about 15 years, now I work for North Logan City as a building inspector (I know I went over to the dark side ). I also have my own electrical contracting company (just me wiring homes and remodels) named Bridgerland Electric.
Where do you work Joe?

I work in Salt Lake for a small shop called AC electric, though right now they've been sending me down to Provo and I live in Bountiful, it really sucks.
Though not as bad as the hour and and a half drive from Sandy to Logan I had to do for my first job with the union. I worked for TEC electric on 2 jobs for 4 months up there, I hated that drive, got a ticket doing 90 through Sardine canyon.
I guess that summer old Theo Thompson had contracts remodeling a few schools in Logan, I was at an elementary, can't rememeber the name, then he sent me over to USU to run 6k' of cable tray in the tunnels. My carpool was laid off and after 2 weeks I asked for the same. Theo brought my check down personally, shook my hand, and said he really appreciated it.
Kinda funny because AC was up there helping TEC on those projects and then 3 years later I'm with AC and seeing some of the same old guys.
I haven't worked for Cache Valley, though made an attempt not long ago, but instead I got my own van and am driving 120 miles per day
That name 'bridgerland' sounds familiar, are there other things by that name around?
