I'm a avid guitar player and collector....mainly USA San Dimas Charvel's and Jacksons...but I have other USA guitars also (Gibson, Fender etc.).

I don't consider them "hobbies" but I also think my dogs are pretty cool....we have a Boston Terrier and a Miniature Pinscher that totally rock.

I Really enjoy Deer and Turkey hunting, also I like taking thy ol Yamaha big bear with the guy's up the mountain behind the house. Now the realty, since I went into business for myself 4 years ago I believe in those 4 years combined I have not hunted and gone wheeling as much as I used to do each year, I miss those 4 weeks vacation but I'm hoping as time goes on that will change.

Welcome Brother! I am an avid guitarist myself. I have a couple of Gibson's (SG and a Les Paul) and an Ibanez strat that I love to play. I don't consider myself a collector, just love to play.

My sister-in-law has a Miniature Pinscher, most hyper thing I have ever seen. I have a Blood Hound that weights about 115 Pounds, laziest thing I have ever seen.

NO DOUBT, No matter how shi##y a day I have had, I can go home strap on my Les-Paul, and forget about every thing! The great thing is when your pissed off you can play something wild (Pantera, Metallica ect..) or if your in a mello mood just strum some old Zepplin or Floyd.

Eh..it's not that much guys...it's essentially the equivalent of a modular home stereo (component by component)...instead of a combo amp or half stack, it's individual pieces to meet my needs.

It's 2 preamps and one master effects w/switchable on/off loops for pedals etc.

I like the versatility of it...I can go from basic AC-DC crunch ala Back in Black to Pantera over-the-top sustain (Cemetery Gates) at the tap of the toe, then go into Southern Rock mode on the fly.

It's my passion...

NC electrician,

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!

I have a Crate ministack that I plug into. I want to get me a Marshall full stack eventually. The Crate has pretty good distortion, I can get a fairly good crunch for Pantera stuff (Walk, The Great Southern Trendkill ect...) and the clean tone is clear and crisp.

KEEP GRINDING THAT AX!!!

Thanks for the funny replies...and the reference to Back to the Future is hysterical

It doesn't go to 11 as on Spinal Tap, but trust me, you wouldn't want to

The power amp is incredibly loud...like stupid loud...and honestly I'm not that crazy about it as it's solid state, but it serves the purpose now.

I am planning on upgrading the poweramp to a VHT tube amp at some point after I start working...and maybe a new preamp..still undecided....maybe a CAE 3+SE is in my future

I've heard the tube amps are the best, though I heard that years ago and with the speed of electronics nowadays, I doubt there's a noticeable difference.

By the way, I like your signature NC

"Best" is purely personal and very subjective IMO ...just a preference thing...do I think I can hear a discernable difference, yes...but that's me.

Do I prefer tube amps..definitely, any day of the week.

Thanks for the signature props

I also like the sound that you get from a tube amp, thats why I want to get a Marshall, they still make awesome tube amps. You get a richer fuller sound from a tube amp IMHO.

I have a pic somewhere of my first fish I caught with a flyrod. The wife got real close, so it looks big!!! It was all of 3 inches. I seem to have the casting part down, but the catching part sems to be missing right now.

The pond is about 3 acres out in the country, (for now anyway)
It has bass, bream and catfish in it.

What take you from Va. to a small town like Ocilla?

We have a client that has a satellite up link there, there were experiencing power issues. I kind of specialize in solving power problems. Voltage anomalies, grounding, and discrepancies others can fix. Many of my clients are other electrical contractors, engineering firms data and telco companies ect. About once twice a year I travel and that is more than enough.

aye!!!

I play straight into a Peavy XXX and I LOVE IT!!!!

to me, tube driven amps deliver more attack and power than solid state.
