Why it's great to have a van:
I can go tailgating now!!!!! Generator, TV, cooler, chairs, grill...wow, just realized this. Life is good.

Dude I was thinking Falcons! Hell yeah, North Ave trade school, here I come!!! Problem is finding somebody with a TV/Dish hookup, but I'm sure there will be plenty of them. Otherwise it's good ol' Wes Durham.

I think I first saw a four wheel drive van in some 80's show: I fell in LOVE. Those are awesome.

i really want to put 33'' all terrains on mine - i just cant see ruining already bad fuel economy to "look cool"
but if it was done right with a cool wrap you could enter it in shows and get cool advertising and a neat wright off

What type of generator do you have? Unless it's one of those inverter types, I can't see you running it while tailgating. Wouldn't everyone be pissed at the noise?

Uhhhm, haven't gotten the gennie YET but it would take one of those fancy dancy ones, like a Honda that just sits there and hums. BUT, I WOULD show up at a UGAg game with a plain old generic generator with a header on it JUust to p*ss off the trailer park crowd.

I really like the Honda EU2000i, the lowest I found it is about $900 shipped. That's a lot of money for a 1,600w generator, but the thing is almost silent and it only weighs 45 pounds.

I wanted one of those 4x4 conversions on the last van I bought. The dealership offered it as an aftermarket warrantied upgrade, but it was like 9 grand extra for the kit, and that didn't include freight to send it to the place that done the work. It would be REALLY nice to be able to pull up all the way to some of these jobs in bad weather or the mud.

Gag me with a spoon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiEIToOWr64
And for the hard of hearing
I gave a girl a ride in my wagon
She crawled in and took control
She was tired 'cause her mind was a-draggin'
I said, get some sleep and dream of rock and roll
'Cause like a princess she was layin' there
Moonlight dancin' off her hair
She woke up and took me by the hand
She's gonna love me in my Chevy van
And that's all right with me
Her young face was like that of an angel
Her long legs were tanned and brown
Better keep your eyes on the road, son
Better slow this vehicle down
'Cause like a princess she was layin' there
Moonlight dancin' off her hair
She woke up and took me by the hand
We made love in my Chevy van
And that's all right with me
I put her out in a town that was so small
You could throw a rock from end to end
A dirt-road main street, she walked off in bare feet
It's a shame I won't be passin' through again
'Cause like a princess she was layin' there
Moonlight dancin' off her hair
She woke up and took me by the hand
We made love in my Chevy van
And that's all right with me
'Cause like a princess she was layin' there
Moonlight dancin' off her hair
She woke up and took me by the hand
We made love in my Chevy van
And that's all right with me

I have Jets season tickets (I know, that's my problem), with 3 other guys and we have the whole set up. Tent, portable propane heaters, grills, coolers, satellite dish, NFL Sunday ticket package, 32" flat screen television, cordless Milwaulkee 18V Hammer Drill, among other things. The past 3 years have been tough, not because the Jets have sucked each year, but because of the new stadium being built there is less room to park so we only have 1 parking pass. We meet at secret location #1 and all hop into one truck and pile everything in there then we set the whole deal up. The biggest secret here is to secure everything to the ground and that's what the cordless hammer drill is for. We pitch in $50 per game to pay for all this crap and that also includes food and beer. We also have that Honda 2000 watt genny and it is really quiet. So quiet that it can be right beside the television and it doesn't interfere.

I called them to ask about picking one up, she said that the showroom is separate and the price would be higher. It's cheaper to order it and have it shipped because they are already boxed and come from the warehouse. It's $895 but since I live in NJ I would have to pay sales tax.
Wisesales.com is the other dealer that I've read about, the RV crowd loves them. They charge $889 shipped, no tax. So for an NJ resident that would be the better deal.
