Default Chat Function?

What about the possibility of a chat function??

A friend has a Jackson Guitar forum using vBulletin and I think it's the same version as this.

Just a thought...

Not enough traffic here to justify it, in my opinion. Personally, I'd like to see any informational exchanges preserved for posterity in the posts.

I just mainly meant it as a pseudo-social kinda function...just a way to chat together in real time...sometimes posts don't always 100% accurately convey intent...and it's less personal...I dunno...just a thought.

Reply's here are usually very quick, and for a site aimed at informational purposes it's very functional.

I agree that I like to chat, though at the same time don't want any bonds holding me to getting my point across at that exact moment or else I decline from my stand.

And like MD said there are not enough members interested in 'chat' to make it a worthwhile investment for this site. The parent site of this one had a chat function, I never went in there but I think the most memebers ever in there was 3(Nathan could probably correct me on that).

Fact is; If you post a reply and no one else posts another reply shortly then no one wants to chat.....

someone could always start a thread in "off topic
" and have a chat with anyone intrested. A friday night weekly wind-down or such...
