The ET iPhone app
Is it just me or does anyone else think it sucks? I just got my iphone a couple days ago so maybe I just don't know how to use it right yet.
When I come to the site on my computer I usually just click "New Posts" and it brings up a list of all the new crap since my last visit. But on the ET app there isn't a similar feature.... I can manually dig through each sub-forum one at a time looking for new stuff. There is also a button called "Current" ... which I think brings up current threads whether I've read them or not.
Anyone got any tips on this thing?

I made the same mistake but the iphone app for the ET forum does not have any of those buttons and the forum just does not look the same.
What i did is Google ET and that gives you the regular computer ET forum front page so i saved that window and view the forum that way and you have all the tools just like you are on the computer but you can't watch any Youtube video's that the guys post.

You are correct. The "current" button shows new posts. They are unread if they are bold.
To see subscribed threads click more and then subscribed.
The app works fairly decent and is better than the android et app for darnn sure.

I use the ET app on my iPhone all the time.
It's not bad and better than trying to view the forum through the Safari.
There are a few things you can't see or do on the app but can do on the web site.
You can't see how many posts a member has or any details in their profile.
You cannot format your posts or use the smiles in the iPhone.
Smiles you use in the iPhone can only be seen with other iPhone users.
If you want to use a smile that is on the web forum, you need to know the code.
You also cannot see the signatures that are used on the web forum.
Overall it iPhone app is not that bad.
I use mostly the subscribed page and the current page.

The ET app on iphone may be better than android but I doubt it. I know that android phones are better than iphones though.

I think that was just added on the last update.
You still don't get any of the other profile details.
You do get spell check as you go though.

I have quite a few iPhones and android phones in my home as well as ipad and android tablets. Let's just say if someone isn't very computer savvy, anything android will probably be a pita for them. That being said I think they both have their positive and negative sides.
