I'll agree that his site is OK. Not wanting to take away from that, but the DIY links to "trade only" sites bothered me a bit. He should know better than to direct that sort of traffic that way.

I totally agree. Even better is if they are forced to work in the field that they are supposedly engineering for.

Hey Arc, I have been meaning to ask you. I think I read that you are of the female persuasion. Is your screen name a play on words, or a typo?

Haha, thats funny, the only post I have seen about my sexual persuasion is this one.

drug test question for ibew

Mebbee it's because all of my early avatars had boobs in them.!

I'm all guy. My WU has been in Hawaii since the 1st visiting the daughter, so i have had a little more time to drink, fly rc stuff, and post stupid stuff on the net. Oh yeah, we did manage to get to a small trade show on friday, followed by a cruise on lake CDA. Didn't do the cruise, so no incriminating photos!

Crap, gotta go, the airplanes are charged and the sun is still shining.

Look at this is this page. At the top he actually says: "Save Money, you can solve the problem yourself before calling an electrician"

Problem with that is he link dozens of message boards includingMike Holt's, ECN, and us here.No wonder we getso many DIY questions ignoring the site rules. This guy says it is perfectly fine.

It is more of a web design/search engine thing than it is a serious attempt to provide good accurate information. Basically, the more established and reputable sites that this website has links to, the better ranking the site will get with Google, etc. which in turn equals more traffic from search engines to this guy's site. That's the theory anyway, he just has it slightly sideways. If all of those established sites would post direct links TO his site he would be rockin an excellent Google rank and would get mad traffic to his site. Like everyone from this forum clicking on the link to go to his site to see what's going on - we are all just helping out his site traffic.
