this is from user riveter...

Wait, Mike, don't hang up. You are the only resource that I can think of for my question without getting my head chopped off. I honestly just want a valid answer to my question about capacitors on a residential house. I have read a lot about how they don't work but no one has said why. I get cookie cutter answers, I am not a seller of any of these products, but I read on one of your pages that you would go in partnership whith a verifiable tester. You don't have to give any money; I have a device (PS1200) to prove out for a friend. Maybe, I am approaching it the wrong way, but please, you tell me.
I have found during my tests that the Power Saver 1200 does not save any energy when installed as the manufacture suggests. I have found that if I isolate the unit from the electrical system untill my largest Inductive load (A/C) comes on the current thru the meter drops by close to 4 amps. I isolated it by hooking the Power Saver on the load side of the A/C contactor at the condenser unit. I figured a average run time of 10 hours a day and $.07/KWH and it seems to make a difference of $.67 a day savings. What am I doing wrong? I first heard of you at an ARC FLASH seminar and then later at a code class at the Kentucky Truck Plant. Don't beat me up too badly, I just want the truth and why it is so.

I am still looking for a reason that a power factor correction device would not work in a residence. Electricity does not know it is not going into a factory.

With respect,
RIVETER

In the upper right hand corner of the PM you'll see a red button that looks like this . Push it and let us know what the issue is.
That will notify all moderators.
