Default stupid question, I guess

how come when I log on, after, say, 90 minutes or so of no activity, I have to re-fill in my name and password?

My brother says its for trolls. He says rule number one is always log out so some random user cant use your account to flame threads. It goes back to users in colleges methinks.

I have never had to log in to this forum except for the first time I logged in. It is so simple. "Remember Me". Another way to be sure is to use the Firefox browser. It will remember your log in info for you.

yes unless you check off remember me, it will log off automatically after its been idle for some time(dont know exactly how long) but i believe the reason it logs off is because its assumed you've left your computer and as a precaution so no one else, especially in a public place can get on and post with your name.
