For the unemployed?
Just a thought, with the rampant unemployment problem and all - how about a forum section similar to a job board, where those looking for electricians can find those of us that are unemployed? We could even go so far as to post resumes, etc. It could be a nice "inner community" type thing, what say you?

I think its kind of a good idea. Though there are probably only 3 EC's on this board from CA, and they are probably doing ok, so It wouldnt help me much.

It certainly couldn't hurt, might give us a better perspective on what's going on in the industry, and hopefully would allow those of us in the field to help out the less fortunate electricians out here.
Now if only the Mods or Admins would take notice...(j/k)

same with ATI Brackenridge. Cash on hand still trumps expansion. Can't really justify subcontract work when you're cutting hours for your regulars, if not laying off. Domestic steel producers @ 60% capacity, China overproducing again. Specialty steel (ATI) and coke production (Clairton) are a bit insulated, so let the waiting commence........

Texas in the $20 - $25 range, little or no pension, still beats unemployment, big write-off working out of state.

Yah I hear that... I heard something about a "solar farm" going on down there somewhere I wonder if that's the job. I heard where they are building it where there isn't a store or hotel with in 50 Miles so they are basically building a town for all the workers.
