I have a good friend that not only thinks the moon landing is fake, but also believes there were no dinosaurs because they don't fit into the bible. I asked them how the bones got there, he says the people that find them make them somewhere else and then claim to find them.

No it means that I am a pessimist not am optimist . After many years of doing trouble shooting, I have gradually acquired the attitude of "Assume that whoever was here before me...did it wrong". look up occam's razor 
As for the moon landing, there are too many holes in the event to come to a solid concrete conclusion. And why has nobody ever gone back? There have been many opportunities to do so.
