Default 90 degree meter socket extension

Has anyone ever seen one of these? I think MD posted this for me on Contractor Talk awhile ago.

I mostly see them on school crossing warning signs so that the meter reader can read it without getting out of the truck.

I see them around here. Usually the meter is placed on the 'private' side of a fence - in someones back yard. so they install the 90 so the meter could be read.

My house has one so they wont get bite by my dog ,read the meter with out coming in to my yard
