Default advice..

Hey guys I just joined this forum. I wanted to get some of your guys' advice on how to get my foot in the door. I'm currently enrolled in a Industrial Electrical program at a community college. I've been looking for apprentice/helper postions but I cant seem to find any. The only apprentice jobs that I do find require two to four years of experience! Is there another way to find enrty level work? thanks..

Crack open the phone book and start calling every EC in it. Are you registered with your state's unemployment office?

It's tough out there right now. It isn't going to be easy. Don't give up!

Go to the supply houses. Talk to guys in the parking lot and at the counter. If someone calls me out of the blue looking for work, it ain't gonna happen. If I meet someone in person, there is a better chance. You might get lucky. Maybe a half a day here or there, but it may turn into something. Where in CA do you live?

There are plenty of SH's near you. Check them out. There is a guy here from Hemet who does Walgreen's and Denny's. Cant recall his name. See if you can find him and PM him.

Found him...His name is AaronJ
