Default It is an ARC

I have posted (or complained) before about terms that bug me like noodle for neutral and the like BUT as professionals we should know what we are dealing with and discussing. I often see members post in threads about ARCHING and I also hear electrician discuss ARCHING.

The word is ARC, there may be arcing, and it may have arced all of this can happen in an arch if the equipment is situated in said arch.

Someone who understands the physics of arcs would know why 690.11 makes perfect sense, and conflicts with 210.12 which does not.

Anyone?????
