Default Arc fault/ X10 issues?

Has anyone experienced issues when using any of the remote switching systems such as: Insteon, Radio RA, Z-wave, X-10 pro, etc. ?

I have to install some on arc fault circuits.

Insteons haven't been a problem so far for us but we haven't installed too many of them.

Default Chargers interfere

Arc'f shouldn't be a issue ,but older phone charges can create noise in the lines and effect the x10's.Just some info. Also once did an up grade on a very high end house and ran across a problem took 4 service calls to figure out.An old black and white tube chaise, the old tight wade had in his work shop put out so much noise on the lines the house almost seemed haunted

We don't have to use ark fult in wisconsin per are state code (comm 16) so I, and most people around here, know much about them. The majority think they would a waste of time and customers money. How similar are they to GFI's if at all?

Ya I know... I've read the articals and know the installation requirement, just not 100% sure on how they function. It almost seems like it works the same as a gfi. No one around here can give me a straight answer because the state says not to use them. The inspectors don't even know and no one can provide me with documentation. I don't have to worry about in but I would still like to know.
