Default Average Time Allowed for Bidding

Was just sent a set of plans for a restaurant, I recieved on 4/12/12, and the outfit wanted me to give them a number by 4/16/12 at 5:00 !

My salesman at the supply house was not in on friday to give me an idea on the fixture schedule for pricing.

That gave me about 3 working days to get a number in. Seems like a last minute shopper to verify his numbers ?

GC was out of state for a large chain franchise of restaurants.

I've been out of this game for awhile, 15 years since I did the last restaurant. I would think a minimun of two weeks at least.

2 weeks is reasonable for something like that. I think you are right, guy needed another bid and that is you.
