Back to work
I have been back to work for a week now, I do miss going fishing every day, I am having withdrawals. I went over to the dark side, as a two way radio technician. It is nice getting back to my roots, that’s what I started with 30 years ago. This is easier on the old back too. I have some catching up to do with the new technology but you are never too old to learn new things.
No more struggling with 4" RMC or pulling 750 MCM and no more setting the floats for a sewage pumps!
Chuck

Fantastic. Once you get up to speed, remind me to get with you on some suggestions for some new portable models. I've got a few that have been rained on or used in muddy ditches too long, and the transmit is barely intelligible. 3 or 4 hundred bucks a pop require some research before I just go out and buy a new Kenwood or Motorola.

I tried Ft Lauderdale a few years ago, the sand kept tearing up my sliders on the snowmobile. You think with that many people living in that state it would be easier to by parts.
2006 Polaris 900 Fusion, my personal best; 121 mph recorded on my GPS

I'm not sure you'd catch me going 121 mph in anything, unless the world was coming to an end. I'm never in that big of a hurry to get anywhere.

Yup. I caught the same thing about 7-8 years ago when they first started running them. Literally about the same pass. Mid 9's at around 135.

I only drive really fast when I've eaten a certain kind of food and I suddenly have the urge to use the bathroom.

Check this out. There's actually guys who race in the summer out in the burbs. This isn't them, but you get the idea:

Doesn't seem like a good idea.

I've had my 97 Polaris XLT 600 up to 105 mph, that was fast enough for me.
