Default can I test

Looking for insight I have been doing installations and trouble shooting for last 15 yrs in industrial setting ( maint. dept.) Im doing some studying and take a few code classes then I would like to take journeymans test, am I eligable to do so?My present employer will supply me with a letter to varify I have had 10yrs on the job working experience and also our EC said he would back me knowing my work. Thanx in advance for any feedback

Where are you located? In the US different states have different requirements.

Where you are located will dictate your requirements for licensing, Contact your local AHJ and they will be able to help you to direct your communication.

in Ga it is the Secretary of State Office, Professional Licensing Board.

from what I could find, Ohio does not license journeyman electricians. Due to that, there would be no journeyman exam.

hmmm so next choice would be to contact IBEW local and see if they allow non union electricians to test ? I sent an e-mail few min ago to Oh constuction industry licensing board to see what the could tell me
